Online Check Writing Service:
How do I request a check to be sent?
The online check writing service is available to cardholders that have been active for three months and have loaded at least $1000 via direct deposit. To request a check, log into your online card account and select the "Write a Check" button. You will need the following information for the Payee (receiver):
- Name (or Company Name)
- Address
- Amount of Payment
When do I need to request a check to be sent immediately?
You will need to request a check by 12pm EST in order for the check to be sent within 24 hours.
Can I request a check for a later date?
Yes, you can request a check to be sent for a later date. Please note that the funds will not be removed from your card account until 24 hours before the date the check is sent. If there are not enough funds available, your check will be declined and not sent.
Can I stop a check I previously requested?
Yes, you can stop any check that has not been sent by logging into your online card account and clicking the Stop Check icon next to the check you would like to stop.
If the check shows "Sent" on your dashboard, you will need to contact customer service to have the money refunded. This process may take up to 48 hours and a stop check fee may apply.
No, the check will be written and issued by Plastyc Inc. on your behalf. Like a cashier's check, it is not signed by you but by a person with signature authority on the MetaBank account.
What happens if the check cannot be delivered?
If the check cannot be delivered to the address provided, the amount of the check will be refunded to your prepaid card account balance within 20 to 180 days after the check was returned back to the originating address. A stop check fee will apply.
